 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This is a very exiting project that we have been working on for a while now. We are doing this project with Blue Schooner Company, a French Sail Transport Company that is currently also operating Schooner Gallant. 'Halifax' is going to be a 53m Sailing Cargo Vessel fully powered by the wind with a cargo capacity of about 400tons and will be just under 500GT. The focus will be Cargo Transport and Sailtraining. Even though its traditional looks, the vessel will be build to current safety and construction standards, it will have conventional modern diesel engines as backup and for manoeuvring in harbours. For loading and unloading it will be outfitted with hydraulic cranes.
